The answer is it depends! Since Crayta is a UGC game, it means that we have little control over the size and complexity - and therefore performance - of games created by players.
Therefore, to ensure Stadia Pro players get the best experience we:
(a) Always overlay 2D UI (i.e. Crayta's front-end navigation menu, its game creation editor interface, and in-game 2D UI) at true 4k to ensure super clear text and icons; and
(b) In order to try and maintain 60 fps at all times, we dynamically manage the resolution of the 3D content (the game world, characters, props, etc), which normally means upscaling from 1440p to full 4k.

Finally, it's important to point out that to play up to 4K resolution on Crayta, you'll need an active Stadia Pro subscription, a network speed of 35 Mbps or greater, and the necessary hardware requirements. See the Stadia support page here for more info. Players without a Stadia Pro subscription are restricted to 1080p.
As the capabilities of Stadia evolve and new techniques become available we will continue to pursue the best possible player experience.
